Marriage
In person
1- Fill out an application for Personal file at the Embassy and Marriage Registration
2- Husband’s recent (not older than 1 year) original personal or family 'Ikhraj Kayd' with two photocopies.
3- Wife’s recent (not older than 1 year) original personal or family 'Ikhraj Kayd' with two photocopies.
4- Canadian original statement of marriage (long form) with two photocopies / or one notarized copy with two photocopies.
5- Spouse’s statement of birth (long form, if not Lebanese) with two photocopies, and a photocopy of the current Passport.
This formality is free of charge.
N.B: An attestation will be issued by the Embassy confirming the registration.
By Mail
In addition to the above-mentioned documents you need to send 2 prepaid self addressed envelopes with phone number:
a. First envelope, Self-addressed stamped, Xpresspost, envelope with phone number (to send you back the original documents).
b. Second envelope, (regular mail with stamp) is to mail the new 'Ikhraj Kayd' upon reception from Lebanon. (In case the second envelope is not available the 'Ikhraj Kayd' remains in the family file).
N.B: In case you change your address you need to contact the Embassy with your new one.

Divorce
In person
1- Fill out an application for Personal file at the Embassy and Divorce Registration
2- Family recent (not older than 1 year) original 'Ikhraj Kayd' with 2 photocopies.
3- Lebanese original Marriage Certificate (as registered in Lebanon) with 2 photocopies.
4- Original Divorce Judgment and Divorce Certificate legalized the Foreign affairs (Mail the whole file including the document that needs legalization) "
and translated to Arabic by a certified translator with 2 photocopies.
Please ensure that the date of marriage mentioned on the Judgment and the Certificate of Divorce is identical to the date of marriage mentioned on the certificate of marriage issued by the Lebanese authorities.
5- The Divorce must be final; the divorce order should bear the sentence Final judgment.
6- In order to finalize the divorce, a Special Power of Attorney has to be made to a person in Lebanon, which includes his full address and phone number.
7-fees for legalization of the divorce papers.

3- Original Death Certificate/ statement of death from the regional government services / or one notarized copy with two photocopies.
